This is a general education course that deals with nature of mathematics, appreciation of its practical, intellectual and aesthetic dimensions and application of mathematical tools in daily life.
This is a 3-unit course that aims to provide pre-service special
education teachers the opportunity to study the subject: Learners with
Emotional, Behavioral, Communication, and Language Disorders. Based from case
histories of issues in classroom management, students will design behavior
intervention plans to address each student’s behavior problem. Specifically,
students will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge on symptomatic behaviors,
various diagnostic entities, appropriate vocabulary descriptions on behavioral
disorders, and IEP information integration.
Technology for Teaching and Learning 2 - Utilization of Instructional Technology in Special Education
This course is an introduction to the utilization of instructional technology and the application and integration of technology-based resources in Special Education.
This three-unit course deals with an understanding of basic knowledge and principles in research in special needs and inclusive education. It introduces appropriate research designs and methodologies, provides exercises that develop critical and intuitive thinking and allows students to explore the answers to questions and issues relevant to teaching and learning in special needs and inclusive settings. The end goal of the course is to generate an individual or group research proposal.
